Copilot update

blog

✨ One year ago, Microsoft implemented chatbots in many of its services.

⚙️ Copilot is running successfully in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Edge, and Windows and will soon be updated. First, the chatbot will be integrated with the new large-scale language model OpenAI GPT-4 Turbo.

👀 This means it can "see" much more data via a contextual window of up to 128,000 tokens.

🪙 One of the fundamental concepts in artificial intelligence is the measurement of input data in terms of “tokens” and “context windows.” A token is a unit that can correspond to a word, a subword, a number, or a similar entity, and a context window is a space where one can input questions, text, or other data for a chatbot.

🤔 For comparison, GPT-3.5 supports a context window of up to 16,000 words, while its successor, GPT-4, supports up to 32,000 words.

👩‍💻 A select group of users is currently testing the model, and a more comprehensive integration is expected soon.

🎨 Meanwhile, an improved version of the DALL-E 3 image generator is already available in Bing Image Creator and Copilot. It offers results with higher quality and accuracy.

🤩 Microsoft has updated Copilot to include support for GPT-4 Turbo, DALL-E 3, a code interpreter, and a "deep search" feature.
